Makoto Yukimura, geboren am 8. Mai 1976 in Yokohama, ist ein japanischer Mangaka. Sein Debüt als Manga-Zeichner hatte er 1999 mit Planetes in einem japanischen Manga-Magazin namens "Morning". Die Serie, die im Jahre 2074 spielt, wurde zu einem großen Erfolg, erschien in vielen Sprachen und diente 2003 als Vorlage für einen Anime. Seit 2005 arbeitet Yukimura an der Wikingergeschichte Vinland Saga, die bald als Animeserie bei Amazon PRime laufen wird. Â

Und weiter geht die Leselust meiner Kinder ... ich bin begeistert das eine solche Mangareihe auch einen Lesemuffel so faszinieren kann
Text und Zeichnungen sind auf einem extrem hohen Niveau, von der Platzierung der Sprechblasen über die Abstimmung der einzelnen Panels sitzt einfach alles, diese Reihe ist damit sehr gut für jeden Manga/Comic Liebhaber geeignet und hat es verdient weitaus berühmter zu sein. Lass dich nicht davon abschrecken wie viele Bände es bereits gibt, in Deutschland läuft die Reihe seit 2012 und man kann immer noch problemlos jeden Band erwerben (stand jetzt 2019), man kann das ganze also sorgenfrei in seinem eigenen Tempo genießen.
Vinland Saga ist der mit Abstand beste Manga den ich Kenne. Habe Band 1 bis 14 gelesen, die Story ist einfach perfekt (genau wie der Zeichenstil, der mit jedem Band detaillierter wird) und steigert sich immer mehr. Makoto Yukimura ist ein echtes Genie.Meine Empfehlung ab 13 Jahren.
